Across the MIT campus, students are investigating solutions to a wide range of health system challenges. Academic programs take them out into the field in the U.S. and in countries around the world to gain a practical understanding of health management and delivery from both the individual and institutional perspectives. Drawing on the deep industry experience of MIT faculty, students build foundations for notable careers in health care administration, consulting, medicine, health industry startups, and life science industries.
In Healthcare Lab, an MIT Sloan Action Learning Lab, students from across campus work directly with industry partners in the health industry to solve real system-level problems. The class provides students a hands-on opportunity to better understand the scope and operational complexity of health care delivery, particularly in the U.S. Host organizations partner with student teams and help them develop creative solutions to operational, marketing, and strategic problems. Healthcare Lab is a core course for the MIT Healthcare Certificate►
